Trouble with Spammers

Are people still seeing a problem with spammers here? IE - someone who pops in, recommends "their" site, then leaves? Please let me know.

    Im confused. This tribe is simply here to post your messages received off of dating sites? I thought it was a tribe that gave the lowdown on GOOD sites and places to go! (?)

      Yes, it is supposed to be a place for people to talk about places to go that they liked. However, I've noticed more than one posting by someone pretending they were part of the tribe only to promote their new online dating site. I don't have a problem with people who are sincere in their wanting to share their experiences. I do have a problem with postings that are in the discussion area that really are ads for their services. To me, that's slimy, sleazy, lounge lizard behavior.

      If you have a new service, you should post it in the services or announcement section. That way you are promoting your business in a more honest way, and are more likely to get a positive response rather than having people on the tribe thinking you are a slimy, sleazy, lounge lizard :)

        Excuse me, I dont have a business or anything else to promote. It was just a question as to the purpose of this tribe since I was unclear. I am not the "one" your looking for who IS promoting whatever it is you apparently hate them for.

          It must be an email thing. I never meant to imply that you were spamming. I just wanted to clarify what I meant by slimy, lounge lizard behavior by others, not you.
